I grew up about 30 minutes south of Omaha on a small acreage where I spent the majority of my time outdoors. Sports have always been a huge part of my life and what initially took me to college. I played football for the South Dakota State Jack Rabbits for the past 4.5 years. While getting to live my dreams of playing Division 1 football, I received a degree in financial management, where I was first introduced into the world of insurance. I have always had a passion for helping people and knew I wanted to be in a career where I can do just that. I started with Doug in February 2021 and love being a part of the team here. Hello! I grew up in a village in Western Nebraska dreaming of the day I would be in insurance. Just kidding! Nobody says, “I want to be an insurance agent when I grow up.” I moved to Omaha for college and obtained a degree in graphic design. While freelancing and working various customer service roles after college, I realized I wanted to be able to do more for people.
On my journey to find my place I accidentally fell into a position with a State Farm Agency in the beginning of 2018 and will now forever bleed State Farm red. With this opportunity I gained a new platform to help people in our community every day.

Hello, I'm Mike Atkins. I was born in Newport News, Virginia, but I consider Omaha, Nebraska, my hometown, as I moved there when I was between the ages of 3 and 4. I've been working at our office since October 2024, where I handle customer service inquiries.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and traveling - Aruba is my favorite destination right now! I also enjoy being near any body of water. A little about my family: I am happily married to my wife for Katie; we tied the knot in 2017, and she truly is an amazing person. Our daughter is our miracle, and if you ever stop by the office, I’d be delighted to share her story with you. What I find most enjoyable about my work at State Farm is the wonderful team I get to collaborate with. When I first entered this industry, my goal was to gain the knowledge necessary to assist customers with their policies or claims. Over time, I've realized that many people are unaware of their current coverage and whether they are adequately protected. It’s incredibly fulfilling to help them understand their options.

Hey everyone! I was born and raised in Fremont, Nebraska. I’ve been part of our office team for nearly a year and a half, currently assisting customers with their property and casualty insurance needs.
When I’m not at work, I cherish the time I spend with my family and friends. I particularly enjoy trips to the zoo, bike rides to the park, embarking on random adventures with my kids and husband, and creating wonderful memories during our vacations.
I’m blessed with a supportive husband, three awesome kids, along with two lovable pets: Miley, our Shorkie, and Marlow, our Goldendoodle.
